About Us

Visit two museums in one! Learn about local high plains history and culture through exhibits like High Plains Journeys, Over Here, Over There, and High and Dry: Agriculture on the High Plains plus on-site historic buildings (1930s farm house; sod house; one-room school, country church, and the largest barn in Kansas). Connect with global art forms through the world-class Kuska collection of glass, ceramics, dolls, furniture and much more. Kids can learn about Kansas in the Kansas Kids Corner and interactive features throughout the museum. Enjoy a new art exhibit every six weeks in the Garvey Education Room.

Rent the Garvey Room, Cooper Barn or Lone Star Church for your wedding, reunion, business meeting or other event. Contact the museum for more information.
